Joey
Joey’s journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu spans over 15 years, a period marked by dedicated training, frequent competition, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. His extensive competitive experience provides a deep well of practical understanding, which is further enhanced by a commitment to modern, science-informed coaching methodologies. Joey believes in empowering students to reach their full potential by integrating principles of motor learning, biomechanics, and periodization into his teaching, while fostering a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.
Conor
Conor is our limitless wrestling coach and a competitive jiu jitsu grappler. In his youth, Conor dedicated himself to the sport of wrestling, and had much success at the provincial and national level. After competition, he coached several youth wrestling programs through his work as a teacher. Joining Limitless rekindled Conor’s love for training, and he is currently a blue belt under Joey Boretski. As the wrestling coach at limitless, he helps integrate wrestling takedowns and concepts into a jiu jitsu framework. His mission is to make wrestling fun and approachable, while maintaining a high level of instruction and performance.
Hollich
Hollich started training in 2021 under Spencer Lalonde in Ontario. He received Blue Belt in 2023 and after a move to Western Canada, has been with Joey Boretski since late-2023. He adopts a constraints-led approach (CLA) teaching methodology and focuses on understanding “why”. Through continuous learning both on and off the mats, Hollich continues to hone his skills as a competitor and instructor.
Spencer
Spencer began his martial arts training when he was a teenager studying traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu and quickly became fascinated with the submission, leverage, and control elements of the techniques he learned. Looking to expand his knowledge, challenge himself, and pursue his fascination with submission grappling arts further, Spencer started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2018 and was hooked immediately with its live training, martial effectiveness, and rich technical depth. Being a fan of the Jordan Teaches Jiu-Jitsu YouTube channel and Talk-Jitsu podcast, Spencer agreed with Jordan and Joey’s approach to modern Jiu-Jitsu training and harboring a down to earth and welcoming training environment and friendly culture for the students. Spencer was excited to hear that Limitless was opening a location in Edmonton under Joey and joined the team when they opened in 2023. As an instructor, Spencer is often seen with a smile on his face sharing his knowledge and passion for Jiu-Jitsu in an open and friendly manner. Whether someone is training for competition, fitness and self-improvement, self-defense, or just for fun, Spencer loves helping those around him reach their goals and find success in the sport and on the mat.
Parm
Parm Is the lead instructor for the kids Jiu-Jitsu program at Limitless Edmonton and has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over eight years across various gyms. He is very passionate about this art and helping others grow in this incredible journey. Parm loves the unique challenges of teaching children—finding fun, creative ways to keep them engaged while building discipline, respect, focus, and life skills that extend far beyond the mats.
He’s a strong believer in developing a capable, strong body alongside technical proficiency, always emphasizing solid fundamentals and body conditioning in every session.
